Linkmav, a Protoype Rotary Wing Micro Aerial Vehicle
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper provides an overview oabout the design of the LinkMAV rotary wing autonomous Micro Aerial Vehicle. The paper describes the flying platform, the main problems related to aerodynamics and propulsion, the onboard avionics and the flight control system, including the autonomous navigation algorithms. We also describe the sensor chosen for the MAV05 competition, held in Garmisch Partenkirchen, and a high level system and multi-modal interface providing more advanced autonomy in terms of collision free path planning and in-flight mission reconfiguration.

Modeling and Control of a Dragonfly-like Micro Aerial Vehicle
The purpose of this research is to model and control a dragonflylike flapping wing micro aerial vehicle (FWMAV). It is well known that micro aerial vehicle (MAV) designs can be classified as fixed wing, rotary wing and flapping wing. Fixed wing MAV is capable of fast forward flight, which is suitable for flying outdoor. Rotary wing MAV is suitable for movement at low speed. Recently, flapping w...

Advanced and accurate modelling of a Flapping Wing Micro Air Vehicle (FW MAV) and its control is one of the recent research topics related to the field of autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). In this work, a four wing Natureinspired (NI) FW MAV is modeled and controlled inspiring by its advanced features like quick flight, vertical take-off and landing, hovering, and fast turn, and enhan...
متن کاملRotary Wing Final Experiments for the Software Enabled Control Program
On August 25, 2004, a series of final experiments were flown at the McKenna urban operations complex at Ft. Benning, GA. These experiments represented the culmination of the rotary wing segment of the DARPA Software Enabled Control program. To support these efforts, an open system Unmanned Aerial Vehicle testbed architecture was developed for the GTMax and GTSpy research aircraft. This paper in...
متن کاملA Small Semi-Autonomous Rotary-Wing Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV)
Small radio controlled (R/C) rotary-wing UAVs have many potential military and civilian applications, but can be very difficult to fly. Small and lightweight sensors and computers can be used to implement a control system to make these vehicles easier to fly. To develop a control system for a small UAV, an 8-bit microcontroller has been interfaced with MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) gy...
